FROM GROUNDWORK TO GUEST STAYS 🏡🌅

What started as a blank space has been completely transformed into a stunning 2-bedroom self-contained annex, purpose-built for luxury Airbnb stays — with uninterrupted lakeside views and a peaceful countryside setting.

Built entirely from scratch, this project involved every stage from the initial groundworks through to the completed build. One of the standout features is the lake itself — excavated and shaped by the ZINK team to create a unique setting that completely transforms the space and atmosphere around the property.

The finished annex combines modern comfort with natural surroundings, creating the perfect countryside escape for couples, families, and weekend getaways.

NORWICH RD PROJECT UPDATE 🔨🏠

A lot of progress has been made on this transformation project over the last few weeks 👌

The entire rear section of the once derelict building has now been rebuilt including a new 3m opening for bi-fold doors overlooking the now double-sized garden 🌿

Inside, new second floor joists and a brand new CaberDek floor have been installed along with new window openings and structural roof works to create the new bedroom and bathroom layout.

We’ve also carried out remedial works externally removing failed render and outdated chimney protection ready for the next phase.

It’s also been great to hear so many positive comments from passers-by and neighbours .A lot of people have said this project has been a long time coming, and the compliments on the progress and transformation so far have been really appreciated 🙌

Next up ➡️ a full strip and rebuild of the rear roof section before new pan tiles, windows, doors and rendering complete the transformation 🏡

Great to see this project really starting to take shape now 👌

Check this one out! 🐢🌿

ZINK Construction Ltd together with have created this bespoke tortoise greenhouse — designed to give these awesome creatures their own safe and natural environment.

Complete with:
• Sliding entrance doors
• Curved sleeper entrance
• Dedicated wallow area
• Lowered slab levels to allow for a custom mix of sand and soil

Every detail was carefully considered to help create the perfect habitat while keeping the build practical, durable, and visually unique.

A really fun project to be part of and something a little different from the norm! 🛠️🌱🐢

The Norwich Street project is officially underway 🔨🏚️

After sitting abandoned for nearly 20 years, this property had sadly fallen into complete disrepair. The rear roof had fully collapsed, nature had taken over, and the pigeons had definitely made themselves at home 🕊️

Originally built as one large property before later being split into two, the new owners are now bringing it back to life and restoring it to its former glory — and we’re proud to be part of the transformation.

Over the last few weeks the dangerous rear extension has been carefully demolished and the entire site cleared, allowing our team to begin the structural works.

This week alone we have:
🔨 Carefully dismantled and removed the collapsed roof structure
🧱 Demolished the entire rear section of the property that was beyond saving
🚧 Removed failed footings and unstable sections safely
🏠 Completed a full internal strip out back to shell
♻️ Crushed and recycled over 80 tonnes of rubble ready to be reused on site where possible
🪨 Excavated and poured new footings ready for the rebuild
🏗️ Started rebuilding works to the rear of the property

Projects like this are never straightforward, but seeing the transformation begin after years of neglect is what makes these jobs so rewarding. A massive effort from the whole ZINK team this week — and we’re only just getting started 👏

You’ll be working on a variety of quality projects including renovations, extensions,property restorations and ongoing maintenance work.

• Has strong experience across multiple trades (carpentry, plastering, tiling, etc.)
• Takes pride in high-quality workmanship
• Is reliable, punctual, and professional
• Can work independently and as part of a team
• Holds a full UK driving licence

Dydle Down , Reroof completed at Potter Heigham Broads.

No vehicle access on this one, so all materials and kit had to be taken up by boat which made it a bit more involved than usual.

Stripped back and fully re-roofed, fitted 4 new fire doors to meet insurance requirements, and replaced the integrated fridge while we were there.

All finished and ready for holiday lets in May.

Redbricks project moving forward nicely 👌

We’ve installed floating floors to create a seamless level throughout — removing outdated steps and improving flow across the entire space.

A brand new roof has been completed, fully counterbatoned for airflow and installed to current regulations ✔️

Studwork complete, with both electrical ⚡ and plumbing 🚿 first fix now in place — setting the foundations for a high-quality finish.

Walls and loft fully insulated to maximise energy efficiency and long-term comfort 🔥

The property is now fully boarded and prepped, ready for plastering — a big step toward the final transformation.

This project is transforming old barn/outbuildings into a beautiful annex designed for modern generational living — creating a space that keeps family close while maintaining independence.

Windows coming next (fingers crossed 😅) — once they’re in, the space will really come to life.

This month we’ve been proud to complete a range of projects for 👷‍♂️

From replacing broken taps at Cherry Lane allotments, to installing new bike racks at St Nicholas Church and repairing damaged paving slabs — it’s all about keeping the town safe, functional and looking its best.

One of our standout jobs was designing and installing a bespoke, removable manhole cover in the marketplace. Built with easy access to electrical connections for stall holders, this practical solution replaces the old Christmas tree holder and original market sign — modernising the space while keeping it flexible for events throughout the year.
