Thanks to our client’s instructions, we remain involved with a diverse range of buildings in numerous sectors.

Here is our June news:-

❇️ bespoke new dwelling nearing completion

❇️ listed building repairs for insurance claim

❇️ prior approval for an agricultural building

❇️ lots more Class Q activity (more permissions and more submissions!)

❇️ planning permission granted for a commercial warehouse building

❇️ planning & listed building application submitted to reinstate a former cottage, outside of the village settlement

Works are continuing according to programme. Currently all trades 2nd fix, as well as Kitchen installation and decoration are in progress. Early July completion is expected.

NOVEMBER NEWS - a brief glimpse of what our Architects and Building Surveyors at Dolman Building Surveyors LLP have been up to:-

• Class Q fallback granted earlier in the year leading to successfully obtaining Full Planning Permission for a barn conversion and extension

• Full Planning Permission granted for alterations and a large extension to an existing commercial building in a countryside location

• Provision of a Physiotherapy Room in a Wiltshire Primary School for a new pupil

• Listed Building Consent granted for re-roofing a barn in the Cotswolds

• Instructions gratefully received for insurance works to structurally repair a Listed Building in Salisbury following impact damage by a vehicle - surveys are underway

We’ve had a very interesting year to date, with a large variety of projects in numerous different sectors, thanks to all of our Client for their valued instructions

❇️ Full planning permission granted for a new equine yard and rural workers Dwelling on a green field site in Somerset - a great success!

❇️ Completion of Principal Dwelling and Cottage in Wiltshire

❇️ Alterations and Extensions to a bungalow to suit our clients bespoke requirements

❇️ Acorn Education Trust works completed to form a learning base for children with special educational needs

❇️ Two more Class Q barn conversions approved in BANES!

❇️ Three different schools sites commenced work on site for the summer holidays

❇️ Devizes town hall extensive roofing works to the Grade II* listed building

It’s been a busy few months leading up to Christmas for our Architects and Building Surveyors in Devizes, Wiltshire.

Our December news, highlights some exciting progress within numerous sectors, consisting of:-

✅ full planning permissions for new dwellings in the countryside following the formation of class Q fall-back positions

✅ technical drawings have been prepared for a purpose built garage and games room

✅ refurbishment works commencing on two houses on an estate in the Bedwyn area

✅ planning permission granted for a triple garage and farm office joined to a farm workers dwelling

✅ full planning and listed building consent granted for the conversion and alterations to a significant Listed Grade II building in Lacock

✅ recent instruction gratefully received for works associated to a commercial kitchen to a listed building in Bath

✅ completion of works to a listed wall in a churchyard.

❇️ We are involved with fire damage repairs on a range of traditional farm buildings (near Lymington) and a dwelling (near Devizes) - measured surveys and architectural work being carried out

❇️ Listed Building Consent application submitted for repairs to a curtilage listed Granary Building in Dorset

❇️ Planning Permission granted for TWO bespoke glamping pods in Seend, Wiltshire

❇️ Works geared up and commenced on SIX Church of England primary schools for the busy summer holiday

❇️ House refurbishment completed in Surbiton, London

❇️ Wadworth’s new brewery project in Devizes nearing completion

❇️ Planning granted and discharge of planning conditions approved for FOUR new houses in Devizes

We are looking for a Saturday sales assistant to join our top team 🤗
Experience of working in a shop would be useful but not essential as training will be given.
Duties will include stock control, serving customers and making burgers.
Suitable candidates would need to be able to work well in a team, have good communication and customer service skills.
We are looking for someone to work Saturdays 9am-4pm and extra hours will be available during busier periods such as Christmas.
Applicants must be over 16 years of age and pay will be based on experience.

Councillors voted 5-3 to approve the plans for the new house in Peasedown St John.

Spring has sprung and summer is on the way!

Our May 2023 news has been published with great interest in numerous sectors.

We prepare our Dolman Building Surveyors LLP news each month to update interested readers of the different projects that our architects and building surveyors are working on.

This month we’re excited to show the following projects (click on the link below to go directly to our website to see more):-

- Hanford School Art Barn conversion which formed classrooms has been a great success. The rectification period has ended.

- Instructions have been given for our architects and building surveyors to seek Listed Building Consent (LBC) for extensive repairs to a curtilage listed Granary building in Dorset

- LBC has been granted for alterations to a Pub in Farringdon, Oxford

- We are currently involved with FIVE class Q barn conversion project, designed by our architects, some are at technical drawing stages, others are at planning stage and one we’re merely acting as advisors to the client.

- A well apportioned domestic extension in Poulshot conservation area

- The joys of Sewage…. A new treatment plant on a commercial building to comply with EA requirements in South Downs

Instructions have been given for extensive repairs to this curtilage Listed granary building. One of our Architects will be carrying out the measured survey during early May, to prepare detailed Drawings to accompany a Listed Building Consent Application for the repair works.
