This was quite the surprise to wake up to this morning!

1,000+ of you following us, and we haven’t even opened the doors yet! We can’t thank you all enough for the amount of support, kind messages, enquiries and encouragement that you’ve given us over the past few weeks - it means so much us, as a team.

So, as a thank you, we’re giving away a free meal, of choice, for two! A lot of you have been asking for the menu, which is almost complete. I can assure you all that our breakfasts and lunch options, which you all loved before, will be making their return! Therefore, if you’d like the chance of winning, here’s all you have to do:

🎂💐 A very special birthday at Poppy Meadows today, one of our lovely residents is turning 100! 💐🎂

What a wonderful milestone! It was lovely to wish her a happy birthday and see the beautiful decorations, gorgeous cake and wonderful spread ready for her party. Her lovely smile says it all! ❤️

A hundred years of memories and stories,a birthday that deserves a very special celebration.

💚 Poppy Meadows Macmillan Coffee Morning 💚
What a fantastic morning at Poppy Meadows!
Today, my team and I hosted our Macmillan Coffee Morning, and what a lovely success it was!
It was wonderful to see our residents coming together, enjoying delicious cakes, plenty of tea and coffee, all whilst raising money for such a worthwhile cause.
I'm incredibly proud of my team for all their hard work in organising the morning and making it such a success.
A huge thank you to everyone who donated, contributed cakes and came along to support us. Your kindness and generosity are very much appreciated.
This is what Extra Care is all about, bringing people together, building friendships and creating a real sense of community.

We've been dropping a few little hints, and now we can finally share our exciting news with you all!
Welcome to POPPIES CAFÉ & KITCHEN!
We are absolutely delighted to welcome Poppies to Poppy Meadows!
A fresh start, a lovely new atmosphere, some familiar faces returning and, of course, delicious food cooked by the BEST chef! 🤫👨‍🍳
We can't wait to see our café buzzing again with residents, families, friends and the local community, enjoying great food, lovely coffee and plenty of laughter.
There's lots of exciting work going on behind the scenes, and we're really looking forward to seeing it all come together.

👀 We may have been keeping a little secret at Poppy Meadows…

Things are moving along nicely behind the scenes and our new café will be opening very soon. ☕🌿

There’s a fresh new look on the way, some lovely plans taking shape… and perhaps not everything will be completely unfamiliar. 😉

🍕 Pizza Lunch at Poppy Meadows

What a lovely lunchtime we’ve had today!
With our café currently closed, today we put on a pizza lunch for our residents, and I think it’s safe to say it went down rather well!
A huge thank you to the very kind person who donated the funds to make today possible. It was such a thoughtful gesture and gave us another opportunity to bring everyone together over some good food and plenty of chatter.

I also want to give a big thank you to all my staff, who worked alongside me cooking pizzas, making drinks, serving and clearing up afterwards. It was certainly a busy couple of hours, but seeing everyone sitting together and enjoying themselves made it all worthwhile. ❤️

It’s lovely that while our café is closed, we can still find ways to use the space and keep that sense of community going.

Good food, good company and another lovely afternoon at Poppy Meadows. ❤️

This is what community living is all about ❤️

Hearing the music, singing and laughter coming from our lounge this afternoon was just delightful. A bit of karaoke, plenty of laughs and, most importantly, residents coming together and enjoying each other’s company.

One of the things I love about Poppy Meadows is how welcoming our community is. Whether you want to join in with the singing, have a cuppa and a chat, or simply sit back and enjoy the atmosphere, everyone is welcome.

It’s lovely to see friendships being made, people coming together and our communal spaces being enjoyed just as they should be.

There really is never a dull moment at Poppy Meadows! 🎤
