Lest We Forget
The 11th Hour of the 11th Day of the 11th Month
To those we loved and lost,
To those who served and never came home,
To those who continue to serve,
Today on Remembrance Day, and every day in between,
We will Always Remember You.
So many precious lives lost,
So many stories left untold,
So many dreams extinguished,
In the clamour of wars of old.
They were the sons, the daughters,
The fathers and the mothers,
They were the brave souls who stood,
Facing chaos like no others.
Lest We Forget
On fields once torn, they lay down peace,
Their lives, a gift, that wars may cease.
In silence, we remember their fight,
Through shadows of dawn, into morning light.
The brave, the fallen, their stories remain,
In hearts that beat, through loss and gain.
For them, we bow, in reverent grace,
A legacy of courage time cannot erase.
