We’ve loved marking Hedgehog Awareness Week by taking a little learning beyond our developments and into local classrooms 🦔📚

This week, we teamed up with local children’s author and illustrator Helene Gardiner to host interactive story readings at Oak Hill C of E Primary School in Alderton and Newnham St Peter's C of E Primary School and Pre-School.

Children enjoyed listening to Hedgehog and the Fence, learning all about hedgehog habitats and discovering simple ways families and communities can help protect one of the UK’s most loved native species.

Each child took home a signed book and a hedgehog care pack, helping the learning continue at home and in the wider community. Initiatives like this reflect our ongoing commitment to sustainability, education and building communities that support local wildlife.

A huge thank you to Helene Gardiner and British Hedgehog Preservation Society for helping bring this to life.
