A work in progress of our most recent laser scan survey.

A lot of the detail we’ve re-drawn on this Grade II will probably never be seen unless viewed on cad program but when our laser scanner is able to capture this intricate detail, it would be criminal not to re create it.

Not just a drawing, we also have an accurate 3d model of this building which can be filed as part of this buildings history.

A welcome addition to the HPC-Design toolkit.

The Leica GS16 - GNSS

This kit allows us to carry out surveys and locate them with real world coordinates and datum levels.

Making for accurate collaboration on projects between architects, engineers, utilities and many more.

If you’ve got a project starting soon, make sure you start with accurate existing surveys.

It’ll not only save you time but also costly re work.

Another busy week for the team at HPC-Design.

Up and down the country carrying out Surveys.

Firstly a Topographical survey in Bournemouth. This will be used to understand the existing levels on site for surfaces and drainage.
We also used our drone and photogrammetry software to create a 3d model of the site which also provided a helpful and easy to understand underlay for the Topo survey.

Next was Measured Building Surveys in Paisley, we used our laser scanner to capture the existing buildings along with our Gnss which allows us to locate the building with real world datum and co ordinates.

Accurate existing drawings are the base of any proposed refurbishment works.

Its great to see this refurbishment project in Widnes moving along.

We started working on this project mid last year, Initially we were to provide up to date Topographical and Building surveys.

We were then instructed to submit planning for demolition of a Building, Create the Tender, Building regs package along with a Planning strategy for the proposed works including submission.

Along side our works we also collaborated with an M&E designer who is our go to in the commercial sector.

It's not been without its hiccups or set backs, Ecology and Bat Surveys caused quite a delay here.

Cant wait for our next visit to site.
