It is situated on a working farm where guests are welcome to come and meet the animals and see the farm in action. James and Kay Gilchrist were granted funding from Tyne and Esk Leader which allowed them to build this Chalet to allow other people to enjoy the East Lothian countryside as much as they do. They felt that there was not enough accommodation available in the area for people with disabilities and they wanted to change that. The idea for the Chalet was born! Our inclusive Chalet has three bedrooms; our main bedroom is unique as it has an en-suite wetroom with celling track hoist running from the bedroom into the wetroom. The wetroom will have grab rails as well as a Clos-o-mat toilet which offers a wash and dry facility. This bedroom has two electric lifting beds which can be used either a twin room or a double room. The Chalet has two other bedrooms with the option of twin or double rooms. The bathroom is opposite, featuring a bath with shower, toilet and sink. Our kitchen/living area has two large glass windows/doors looking down over the coastal town of Dunbar. This will lead out to a large decking area where stunning views can be enjoyed by all. Access is via the glass door or the side utility room. The Chalet has a concrete carpark with a ramp leading up to it for easy access.
