Looking inward is sometimes more often than not a very painful process

until you become comfortable with accepting your weaknesses and striving to address these.

At the same time celebrating or at least acknowledging your strengths.

Remembering we are only human.

And we all make mistakes this is how we learn and develop.

Making mistakes as you go…

Only human to make them. For example I

described BRRR strategy Buy, Refurbish, Rent, Refinance and called this initially a Buy to Let strategy.

Partly right this is a strategy you can do when building your BTL property portfolio

But there are numerous property strategies.

Making mistakes is just one of life’s challenges

Life will always challenge you.

The reason ? Maybe there is some truth in that what challenges us helps us grow

To become better

Maybe there is roots within the evolution of man / woman

Who has never stood still always creating inventing over coming challenges

Adapting overcoming every given situation

Look at Thomas Edison for example

999 times to eventually discover the electric light bulb

We are meant to be challenged we are meant to make mistakes to learn from them

To grow we have to learn to be challenged

To challenge ourselves

I read recently Discipline equals freedom

In fact if I cast my mind back to my HMForces days

There was always Discipline

So where along the lines of leaving the Army

Discipline was lost for a time through life

Anyone can make excuses for not being successful

But here is where it is at … Accountability

It takes Discipline to stay motivated to do things you know you should do to be

Successful. In fact it’s a Must

Authenticity is also very important

Practice what you teach

What is so brilliant about clock makers

They mend time, if we could all mend time

Take back the mistakes that we have

all made in our lives

But just remember our mistakes don’t define us

We all have the ability to choose to change

To follow the right path we believe we should take.

Just like the clock maker we might not be able to take back time for all the wrong we have done.

But we certainly can amend it.

This is our choice but just remember the clock is ticking!

Angry, things just don’t go according to plan

Having just read Marcus Aurelius, Meditations

“You shouldn’t give circumstances the power to rouse anger, for they don’t care at all.”

This as I understand it is Marcus writing down lessons, things that he had read

Deciphered in our modern day terminology

“Sh*t happens, deal with it!”

Life happens, circumstances beyond our control

All of us can either play the victim and say

“Oh woe as me!”

Or

All we can say “Bring it on!”

Life happens against us

Or

Life happens for us

The decision is ours to make

Always mindful of the circumstances that we find ourselves in

Don’t care if we get angry and

It is up to us how we react

Anger many times is a wasted emotion!
