🔥 GAS SAFETY WEEK | TAKE NO CHANCES

Last Friday, our engineer was called to a rental property for a second opinion following concerns raised during a previous inspection.

The previous engineer had recorded high readings and classified the situation as At Risk, but the boiler had been left operational.

During our inspection, we identified several serious defects with the flue installation:

⚠️ A flue terminal positioned too close to an opening into the property
⚠️ A detached seal at the flue outlet elbow
⚠️ The main flue pipe only partially engaged into the elbow — around 1cm
⚠️ The potential for products of combustion to escape and recirculate into the property

Following our assessment, our engineer classified the appliance as an Immediately Dangerous (ID) situation, meaning it should not have remained in service.

Gas appliance and flue defects can create a serious risk of carbon monoxide exposure. Carbon monoxide can’t be seen, smelt or tasted, which is why proper installation, checks and maintenance are so important.

🏠 If you’re a landlord: make sure gas appliances, pipework and flues provided for your tenants are properly checked and maintained by a Gas Safe registered engineer.

Customer Update

We now have 2.5kW single split air conditioning units in stock, along with trunking, so we’re ready to carry out installations.

We’re still waiting for deliveries of multi-split systems, as well as 3.5kW and some 5kW units, and we’ll continue to keep you updated as stock arrives.

Update for our customers if you have messaged us please bear with, we our working hard to come back to everyone as soon as possible. If you have placed an order with us we are still receiving units and bulk ordering. We should have a good amount of units coming in next week hopefully. We are trying to stock as many units as possible but we are relying on our suppliers who are struggling with demands.

We should still have some unallocated units available and we will try get around to anyone who is waiting for a quote as soon as possible and as soon as we receive more stock we will be able to carry out the installation.
