How lovely is this! Do pop along and see Tarragon at T & Cakes in the village if you stay with us. The coffee is fantastic and so many cakes to choose from (my favourite is the cranberry flapjack!)
From one small business to another 👍
Tomorrow is A level results day
When this day comes around each year I can’t help but reflect on 18 year old T collecting her results. I remember the feeling going in, the butterflies but excitement above all. 2 years of work all boiling down to that moment of seeing letters on a piece of paper. On that day, I didn’t get the results I so desperately wanted and worked so hard for. Even now, it still unsettles me when this day comes around as it reminds me of that awful, disappointing feeling. Genuinely, I had no clue what I was going to do and the feeling was all consuming. But without that happening I wouldn’t have what I have now.
Now looking back on that day 7 years later I wish I had known what I do now. It’s really not the be all and end all. There are always options and those letters do not define your worth or your intelligence. There are so many ways you can be successful in life. Sometimes these things are designed to set you on the path you are supposed to be on rather than the path you thought was meant for you. Just trust the process and take a deep breath, you have got this.
I suppose I am writing this post to myself 7 years ago as this is just what I think I would have needed to have seen. I promise it is and will all be okay and be super proud of what you have achieved.
Super duper good luck to all collecting results tomorrow, as a congratulations to you, whatever the outcome, I have free cookies I have made to all those collecting their results tomorrow, just pop in to the cafe 🍪
The door is always open for a chat and remember these letters do not change all of the other wonderful things about you that make you a bloody amazing human🫶🏻🫶🏻
