👋 Meet our member Ruby Skippings, Literary Agent’s Assistant at Nick Turner Management
Based in Walthamstow Nick Turner Management is a creative talent agency representing writers, directors, and producers across film, television, and radio.
Ruby works closely with screenwriters and directors, helping support the fast moving world of TV and film development, from organising meetings with producers to reading scripts from potential new clients and helping agents manage opportunities for talent. 🎬✍️
Her love for storytelling started early. Growing up in an artistic family, Ruby was surrounded by theatre and performance from a young age, which sparked a fascination with creative storytelling and the arts.
After studying screenwriting, she realised she wanted to build a career in TV and film, combining creativity with the collaborative side of the industry.
Today, her role involves coordinating meetings, checking availability for directors, sending materials to productions, tracking opportunities for clients, and reading incoming scripts from writers seeking representation.
Looking ahead, Ruby hopes to continue building a career around storytelling, with ambitions in TV development, script editing, and writing her own work alongside agency life.
Ruby also shared what she enjoys about working from FOUNDRY:
“I think it’s a really nice building… it’s very calm. I never feel stressed coming to work.”
