Originally spinning out of the University of Edinburgh back in 2013, we took forward over five years of world-class research in the development of new forest mapping technologies and approaches. We have taken academic research and have been successfully applying it within a commercial context for 4
years to date. Carbomap have an international reputation in remote sensing methodologies; lidar forest mapping, satellite radar mapping, and measuring forest structure, carbon sequestration, as well as managing airborne and UAV surveys.
