Situated in the historic town of South Queensferry, Forth Reflections enjoys an elevated position with magnificent views of the Forth Road and Rail Bridges and to The Kingdom of Fife and the mountains beyond and is ideal for evening sunsets overlooking the estuary. All the rooms are furnished to an excellent standard and we take pride in the quality customer service we offer.

The Forth Bridge World Heritage Site is delighted to confirm that Esa Aldegheri has been selected for the Edinburgh City of Literature UNESCO Creative Cities x Heritage Sites Forth Bridge Residency.

Esa Aldegheri is a Scottish‑Italian scholar, writer and educator, currently a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow at the University of Glasgow. Her work explores refugee journeys, borders and integration, and has informed Scotland’s New Scots Refugee Integration Strategy. She’s the author of Free to Go - Across the World on a Motorbike (2022), editor of There She Goes - New Travel Writing by Women (2025), and is also a poet.

Esa commented upon her selection: "I am full of gladness for this adventure! The Forth Bridge has brought me inspiration and consolation over many seasons. What a joy to spend time thinking and writing about its sights and sounds as Writer-in-Residence for Edinburgh City of Literature. I look forward very much to what will come forth over the next couple of months."

Amazing early Burns celebrations last night, courtesy of Queensferry Rowing Club…..
Piles of haggis, neeps and tatties 🥔 after an unusual “address to a haggis”and then a competition to taste several home made puddings yum 😋
Everything was delicious and there was also a competition for the best receptacle in which I had my meal out of a skiffie cap and the gravy was in my “I’d rather be rowing a skiffle” mug. The prize went to young George who ate off a UB40 record 👍👍and the number 40 is one of our skiff numbers. To top the night off, our team UB40PLUS (over 40’s women’s rowing team) won the quiz 🙌🎉I was ecstatic as I never enter quizzes cos I’m rubbish so I’m delighted today 🤣🤪
