We are hiring 🕵️‍♀️

A family business, Factotum are experienced letting agents for short term, long term, holiday and festival lets, as well as property factoring.

We are now looking for a new Property Manager to join our small friendly team.

A fast-paced and varied role, the successful candidate will be a team player that is also happy to work under their own initiative, handling a range of property management tasks including viewings, inventories, inspections and checkouts, with no two days being the same!

They will have an excellent knowledge of Edinburgh and a full, clean driving license.

A qualification in Property Management or extensive experience in the Lettings Industry are not required but would be preferred. We are looking for applicants with excellent communication skills, a strong customer service background and great attention to detail.

Full training will be provided by Factotum, including the option to obtain a Propertymark Level 6 Award in Residential Letting & Property Management – Scotland, should you not already have this. Salary and benefits are negotiable dependent on experience.

So, who are Factotum? I wonder if … is still working there? Well, wonder no more. I think it is about time we introduce our team. 👋🏽
First up, our incredible founders of the company, Chris & Sarah Boisseau. Chris, fondly known as Tophe, set up our company with Sarah, in 1985. They’ve been married 37 years, had 4 wonderful children and have 7 grandchildren. Raising their family in the countryside, they are passionate animal lovers. Over the years, they have had several dogs, cats and horses.
Fun fact: Tophe is a master of wine. Sarah was born in Kenya.

At Factotum we are very lucky to have a great team of tradesmen and cleaners that we have great relationships with.

Since 2015 we have have worked closely with Goodness Cleaners and so, we are unbelievably happy that our cleaner, Goodness has been reunited with his children. They have taken the long journey from Beitbridge, Zimbabwe to Edinburgh where they will be enrolled in a local School.

We wish them all the best of luck to their new life here in Edinburgh. Let's hope they don't miss the sun too much ☀️😉
