We’re exhibiting at the Global Agritourism Conference

Mill Architects is delighted to be exhibiting at the Global Agritourism Conference 2026 this June at P&J Live.

As architects working across rural Scotland and the UK, we are seeing first-hand how farms and estates are evolving. From converting traditional buildings into holiday accommodation to designing new visitor experiences that sit comfortably within working landscapes, agritourism is creating new opportunities for rural businesses and communities.

We are looking forward to meeting farmers, landowners, tourism operators, academics and partners from across the sector to share ideas, learn from others and contribute to the conversation about what comes next.

If you are attending the conference, we would love to connect.

Tickets available at: https://www.globalagritourismconference.com/

As a member of the National Church Trust Steering Group, Mill Director, Jo Parry Geddes attended a dinner in Edinburgh on Monday night to discuss the future of Scotland’s church buildings. With so many churches closing or at risk, the conversation focused on how we can protect these important spaces for future generations.

It was encouraging to hear from organisations like National Church Trust, Scotland’s Churches Trust, Historic Churches Scotland, Historic Environment Scotland, and the National Lottery Heritage Fund, who are actively working to support church communities, explore new uses for buildings, and ensure their sustainability, whether through continued worship, community initiatives, or heritage projects.

The discussion highlighted both the challenges and opportunities ahead. While there is much work to be done, it was clear that there is also huge passion and commitment to preserving these buildings and their place in Scotland’s cultural and social fabric.
