Perfect location for a sunny November Sunday afternoon stomp. A cliff top walk along the coast path from Lyme Regis followed by a late lunch in The Cobb Arms which serves food all day, even on a Sunday. Perfect for those of us who like to make the day up as we go along.

Crazy and wonderful that the centuries old tradition of Tar Barrel rolling in Ottery St Mary is still permitted. Only a 30 min drive from our cottages so perfect if you want to experience something different on Bonfire Night. There's a lively and friendly atmosphere, easy parking, plenty of food and drink stalls, plus a fun fair and bonfire. Such a great night!

There are so many isolated beaches along the south coast, only accessible from the sea. Paddleboarding is a perfect way to explore them and the conditions today made it even easier…flat calm and sunny 😎. Boards can be hired from Sidmouth beach if you don’t have your own.

Dartmoor, less than an hours drive from us, is a paradise! Today’s walk took in waterfalls, far reaching views, a chilly dip in the river and a pint in one of our favourite pub gardens at The Tors Inn, Belstone, the views are spectacular. Definitely worth a visit if you come and stay here.

Sidmouth is around 30 mins from us. We made the most of the sunshine today and walked from there to Ladram Bay, had delicious coffee and cake and walked back then had a potter around the shops. A perfect Sunday in the sun.

Excited to say we now have a fully functioning infrared sauna in cottage 2! Of course we had to try it out to make sure it’s all working as it should. A perfect relaxing end to a busy week. We both feel very chilled!
