We must be doing something right! 🔨🌱😅

When doing a refurbishment, it’s easy to focus solely on quick cosmetic fixes and easy maximum returns.
But for us, it has always been about creating a home where future tenants can actually thrive—and that means lower bills, proper warmth, and genuine quality.

🗺️ We came up north to do some property market research, starting with Sheffield. We made sure to visit Fulwood—one of the city’s most highly regarded areas—to see why property prices here are roughly double those elsewhere.

It is easy to see why: wide, quiet roads, mostly detached and semi-detached homes, immaculately clean streets, and a great community feel. Plus, being situated on the western side of the city, it was historically sheltered from the factory smoke that westerly winds blew eastward.

I’m not the best at taking photos, but we continued our drive through the university district, the city centre, and several other parts of town.
I already really like the city!

We've got the key and already started the refurbishment of property NR 🔟 :
A 2 bedroom first floor maisonette!

This is probably going to be the hardest job of the year 2026 as we won't be able to keep much (apart of the walls 😅)from the old property, as we will install:

✅ NEW double Glazed Windows
✅ NEW central heating with a new combi boiler
✅ Strip off the old wallpaper and bring the walls to a modern standard
✅ NEW kitchen
✅ NEW bathroom
✅ NEW Flooring
✅ NEW doors
✅ NEW plumbing
✅ NEW electrics all around

and on top of that we applied for Planning permission to get the balcony enclosed and turned into one large utility room.

We have now received the keys for Property No. 9️⃣ — a 50 sqm, 1-bedroom ground-floor flat.

This was purchased at auction, so it was a quick but not entirely stress-free completion.

Nevertheless, we have the keys and have already started the refurbishment.
