September is Sepsis Awareness Month

In October 2018, Chloe, Dave and Sharon Rideout’s beautiful daughter went into hospital for an appendix operation and needlessly died from sepsis. She was just 20 years old. Like so many people they didn’t know much about sepsis; if they had Chloe would have lived because knowing the signs and acting quickly is essential. As you can imagine, they remain heartbroken but have dedicated the last eight years to raising awareness and money through various events for The Sepsis Trust which visits schools, doctors and hospitals to educate and raise awareness. They have raised over £126,000 through charity auctions, book and cake sales along with other sponsored events.
