We've been saying it for years. Last night, the industry made it official. 🏆

Everyone loves a cheap quote, until the job starts going sideways.

Funny how the “bargain builder” suddenly finds extras for everything once the scaffold’s up.

Cheap prices usually come from one of three places:

• Missed items
• No systems
• Desperation for work

And none of them end well.

It’s planning, experience, contingency, insurances, decent lads on the tools, and knowing what can go wrong before it does.

If the quote looks too good to be true it probably is, and your wallet’s probably about to learn a very expensive lesson.

Contracts aren’t about mistrust… they’re about clarity.

Too many lads still doing deals on a handshake and a few WhatsApps. Then the job goes sideways and everyone’s got a different version of what was agreed.

A good contract with professionals protects both sides. Scope, payments, variations, programme… all written down before the first bit of kit lands on site.

“The worst handwriting is better than the best memory.”

Get it in writing. Protect your profit. 👊
