🍂 Autumn has arrived at McNeill Holiday Lets 🍄

There’s something rather magical about this time of year in Lochaber. The colours begin to change, the woodland floor comes alive, and if you take a closer look, you’ll find all sorts of fascinating fungi popping up amongst the moss and fallen leaves. 🌿📸

Autumn is a wonderful time to explore the local woods and walking trails with a camera in hand. From tiny, delicate mushrooms to the more unusual and colourful varieties, fungi photography is a lovely way to slow down and appreciate the little things you might otherwise walk straight past.

And after a day out exploring, there’s nothing quite like returning to the warmth and comfort of a family home in the Highlands. 🏡

If you love autumn walks, woodland photography, and discovering the quieter side of Lochaber, this is a beautiful time of year to visit.

Tomorrow is the Sunart & District Agricultural Society show over on the Ardnamurchan peninsula at Strontian.
With stock, craft and home baking judging, local craft, food, drink and charity stalls, and lots of activities, it is a great day out for the family.

Not long to go! We can’t wait to see you all at the show, lots for all ages to do. We also have the dance at night with Calamity Crofters from 9pm. 💃

I stepped well outside my comfort zone yesterday… I had my very first driving lesson! 🚗

Learning to drive has been on my “one day” list for years, but the longer I put it off, the more nervous I became. In the end, I realised the only way to get past the fear was to take that first step.

And you know what? I absolutely loved it! 😊

A huge thank you to my lovely friend, who sent me this fabulous good luck picture before my lesson. Yes, it’s AI-generated, but it certainly made me smile and gave me a little confidence boost before I got behind the wheel.

It just goes to show that it’s never too late to start something new. Sometimes the things we worry about the most turn out to be the things we enjoy the most. 💙
