Boarded, wrapped and taped up. 🎁

The external boarding shown here increases the lateral strength of the structure and also helps create an air tight home. Using the correct nail pattern to fix the boards and with the aid of adhesive on each stud and joint this house will not be blown down any time soon.

Also featured in this post is the breathable, water resistant membrane which allows vapour to move outward from the structure but doesn’t allow either water or air to enter giving the structure an extra layer of air tightness and water resistance.

It feels like standing and staring is how I’ve spent a big chunk of my time recently, but safe to say progress is happening! More uploads are going to be coming to your screens at a wicked pace so be sure not to miss them.

It turns out carpentry isn’t the only skill that builds a small house. And I’ve found myself dabbling in pies I had never even considered 🥧✅ it’s crazy how much I’ve learned simply by stepping out that zone we call comfort.
