A couple of hours paving this morning.

Reclaimed sandstone, should look nice one cleaned up!

This part of the yard has been problematic forever.
Multiple levels, trip hazards, water pooling etc.

So this afternoon/ evening we have sorted the drainage out, ready for paving and getting water safely flowing in the right directions, it will also make the area more disabled friendly and help visitors to the new units!

8 hour stint, but looks like a 2 hour job!! 🤔

No rest for the wicked.

One of this afternoons/ evenings jobs was

To take the slightly strange approach to fibreglass a floor to ensure the cellar and slightly lower unit to the side are protected from water ingress.

We applied a thick glass strand mat and saturated it with resin and just before it dried added some extra glass strands to create a rough texture, a texture I'm told will help the floor self leveling compound to adhere, let's hope so!!

Once levelled the floor will be finished with a waterproof commercial safety floor. All joints welded and sealed and so on!

The fibre glass odour is enough to blow your head off, even in a well ventilated room.. 🫪
