Southwest destination ▶️ A bird’s-eye view of a tide-filled harbour at the Isle of Whithorn, and you can see the way the houses link up to the former isle itself. The little kirk is built out beyond the tide line for curious historical reasons.

In Wigtownshire, Galloway, this is one of Scotland's most southerly villages, a lively community and very popular touring destination - one often ending with a drink or meal in the Steam Packet Inn.

From the lantern viewpoint on the isle, it's possible to see Ireland, England and the Isle of Man.

Work begins onsite at Black Loch of Myrton on Monday 21st of May - we are raring to go!
