🌙 The September New Moon & October Dark Sky Festival ✨️
Tonight, the Moon disappears from our evening sky.
But look up — because when the Moon is hidden, the stars have their turn.
The New Moon has traditionally been associated with new beginnings, renewal and quiet reflection. And for those who love the night sky, it brings something rather special too: with little or no moonlight to compete with them, the fainter stars, constellations and the Milky Way can reveal themselves more clearly.
Here at Isles of Fleet Retreat, the return of darker September evenings is a reminder of just how much there is to discover after sunset.
A warm wood-fired sauna.
The glow of the last light over Fleet Bay.
The sound of the tide and the fields settling for the night.
Then, as your eyes adjust, a sky full of stars.
✨ And this October, we're inviting you to Rediscover the Night.
As part of the South of Scotland Dark Sky Festival, 9–18 October, our Stay • Sauna • Stars experience is all about slowing down and experiencing the night in a different way — with your own private sauna, dark skies, binoculars, October star guide, cosy blankets, warming drinks and time simply to look up.
Because sometimes the greatest luxury isn't having more to do.
It's having nowhere else to be.
