Angela Rayner announces the end of leasehold and that she will deal with Ground Rents - capping and then scrapping them.

Also plan to stop freeholders charging excessive fees and margins.

Emotive language used - estate agency vultures as an example!

More regulation and licensing promised.

Public control in the public interest.

Devil will be in the detail - no mention of the timeline or cost of implementation which will undoubtedly be high and have to paid for by someone.

Prepped and ready for the big walk tomorrow - raising money for Diabetes UK

Ten miles along the Thames zig zagging across the bridges, starting in Battersea and ending at Tower Bridge.

Early start for a Sunday in order to be at the start line at 10.30am

Will be walking with my daughter Carrie Louise

Next Sunday (27th) I’m, once again, walking in aid of Diabetes UK

The ten mile London Bridges Wellness Walk

With the wonderful generosity of friends, family, business contacts etc I am currently fifth on the fundraising league table - it’s not a competition but I am competitive!

If you can find the time to rummage down the back of the sofa and donate by way of support, that would be fantastic!

This is personal as I’ve been a type one diabetic for over 35 years and this undoubtedly contributed to me requiring a triple heart bypass in 2021
