🛋️ Arcadia Cottage is our cosy 2 bedroom, dog friendly cottage located in the quaint little town of Mere. Conveniently located off the A303, the town boasts 3 excellent pubs and miles of countryside walks from the door. The property has an enclosed garden, onsite parking and EV charger. Perfect for a last minute staycation.

Mere Literary Festival (12-18th October) is putting women’s stories, achievements and creativity centre stage this year.

The programme includes MasterChef champion Ping Coombes, bestselling novelists Clare Leslie Hall and Sally Page, farming trailblazer Baroness Minette Batters, social historian Juliet Nicolson and a fascinating look behind the scenes of The Archers.

There are also pioneering female racing drivers, Wiltshire murder mysteries, falconry with a special appearance from a Harris hawk, and a performance restoring a voice to Charles Dickens’s wife, Kate.

The last few years The Dog House quickly got booked up for Christmas, so if you're planning a cosy Christmas getaway, or visiting family nearby, get in touch to book asap!

This year, Arcadia Cottage will also be available to book for the first time. Our 2 bed cottage is ideal for families, friends or couples, who want to spent Christmas curled up in front of the log burner. Both properties are dog friendly.
