But in a shared building, responsibility doesn't necessarily depend on where the problem happens.

The roof may form part of the common property, which means several owners can have a responsibility for its maintenance and repair.

None of these necessarily feels urgent on day one.

That's exactly why regular attention to a development matters.

A leak can still develop. A repair can still be needed. Shared costs don't disappear simply because nobody is currently living there.

It's something that can become particularly important when a property is sitting empty between tenants or waiting to be sold.
