Scotland's been living with "no fault eviction" bans since 2017. Nine years in β and we're still here. π
The Renters' Rights Act comes into force in England today, and our phones are ringing off the hook with Scottish landlords asking what they need to do.
The answer? Nothing. This is English legislation only.
Scotland already went through this with the Private Residential Tenancy in 2017. Tenants give 28 days' notice. The sector didn't collapse. It adapted.
