We are continuing our strong partnership with New Gorbals Housing Association as work progresses at Coburg Street, Glasgow.

Restoring traditional sandstone tenements requires expert care. Under the leadership of Site Manager Stuart Kinnear, our core division will combine specialist stone repairs with high-performance fabric upgrades, protecting the building from long-term decay while actively improving comfort and energy efficiency for residents.

Inside our newly finished project for our Ardura client in Glasgow. ✨

It has been an incredible journey bringing this bespoke home to life. The property now features dramatic vaulted ceilings throughout the main living areas and upper bedrooms, supported by custom solid oak trusses to maximise light, height, and space.

Externally, the design team blended natural stone, crisp render, and warm timber cladding under a classic slate roof for a striking, timeless finish.

A massive thank you to our luxury residential division for their hard work and to our client for trusting us to bring their vision to life!

We had the privilege of attending the Beatson Cancer Charity Ball, supporting the fantastic work they do for patients and families across Scotland.

It was a great evening that brought everyone together while raising vital funds to help the charity continue the important work they do every day.

John brings more than 30 years’ experience helping founder-led and family businesses grow sustainably, combining expertise in entrepreneurship, governance, and strategic leadership.

Strengthening Our Management Team - Please welcome Marc Sandham 👷‍♂️

We’re pleased to introduce our newest Supervisor/Joiner Marc Sandham, who has recently joined the team at Lochlie.

Marc brings a wealth of hands-on experience, having started his joinery apprenticeship at just 16. Since then, he’s worked across everything from maintenance and restoration to new builds and extensions. At 22, Marc stepped into his first management role and has continued developing his leadership experience alongside his trade ever since.

🔨 What made you choose a career in construction?

“From a young age, I was helping my dad and brother with heating jobs, so I was always around construction and enjoyed being hands-on. I then completed a pre-apprenticeship course at college, where I found that joinery was the area I enjoyed most, and that led me to pursue it as a career.”

🏗️ Why LCG?

“LCG stood out to me because of the variety of work they undertake and the opportunities available within the business. It also came across that staff are well looked after and valued, which is important to me. I’m keen to continue progressing my career, and I feel LCG offers the opportunity to do that.”

🙌 What are you looking forward to most?

“I’m looking forward to being part of what seems like a really good team. Everyone I’ve met so far has been friendly and approachable, and the company seems well structured, which I think creates a good environment to work and develop in.”
