How To React to a Leak - Quick Action Guide

Leaks can escalate quickly, but staying calm and acting fast can prevent major damage.

Here’s what to do:

1. Turn off the water supply: if the leak is internal, locate your stopcock/valve and turn it off.
2. Protect your belongings: move furniture, electronics, and valuables away from the affected area.
3. Contain the water: use towels or buckets to minimise spreading.
4. Report it promptly: contact your property manager as soon as possible, especially if it affects common areas or neighbouring flats.
5. Take photos: document the damage. (This will help with insurance claims later)

It’s been a great start to the year at 91BC.

We’re pleased to be strengthening our team, with several experienced property professionals set to join the business. We’re looking forward to welcoming them and seeing the positive impact they’ll make as we continue to grow.

This month has also been focused on engagement. We’ve spent time connecting with other industry professionals to share knowledge and challenge ourselves to keep raising standards.

Most importantly, we’ve met with committees to listen carefully to feedback. These conversations are invaluable, as they help us understand what’s working and what can improve.
