Esme, who is studying photography, took these photos at the Bothies as part of her final assessment for college 💚

Along with her mum and brother, Esme is a returning guest at Back Track Bothies 💚

She wrote to me before their last stay a few months ago. Swwqhe had decided her project would be about the Scottish Highlands - showing the beauty of the landscape, but, juxtaposing this with overtourism 💚

She wanted to show how overtourism is starting to negatively impact the beautiful landscape visitors come to see 💚

Esme also wanted to cover ecotourism and how people can visit these incredible locations and not add to the problem 💚

Her photos are beautiful, she received the highest grade possible with 3 distinction stars, and she is now heading to uni to further her studies 💚

Sorry I have taken so long to post these, Esme! They are beautiful, and you should be so proud of yourself 💚

We were delighted to host Yvette - - recently, and find ourselves featured in The Scots Magazine 💚

It's a special honour to be in the pages of the oldest magazine in the world still in publication 💚

Our region, Lochaber, featured heavily, with a photo of the series of lock gates - known as 'Neptune's Staircase' - at Fort William making the front cover 💚

Lochaber is a region dear to Yvette's heart, and we are proud to see our backyard in print 💚

Yvette stayed with us at Back Track Bothies, and supported several local small businesses:

We bought a new, bigger van because our family just grew suddenly! So our wee Nissan leccy van has to go 😭💚

Gutted! 💚

This was our first ever electric van, bought before we even had a charger of our own fitted! 💚

We guerilla charged the first few months until we got one (I can highly, highly recommend .official) 💚

She has ultra low miles, is beautifully ply-lined (she had been used to transport haute couture between shows) and has a rubber base to the load area 💚

We have loved her and had her serviced/maintained properly 💚

She could make a cool camper for a smaller person 💚

I am desperately sad to see her go! 💚

Two wee things, she needs a second key, and a new 'granny charger' lead with a domestic plug, so you can charge through the house window (we don't have any grannies to charge so not a problem to us 🤣) 💚
