As an independent estate agent, I pride myself on going above and beyond for my clients.
We’re talking:

🏡 Back-to-back viewings all weekend
📱 Replying to messages at 10:47pm because “just a quick question…”
💻 Writing property descriptions at midnight
📸 Rearranging cushions and moving bins out of sight before photos
🚗 Driving across town to hand-deliver paperwork
☕ Surviving purely on caffeine and optimism
📊 Tweaking marketing ads at unsociable hours
🔑 Popping in to check a property is secure
🧹 Giving it a quick once-over before viewings
And apparently…

🫧 Washing the client’s house keys.

Yes. You read that correctly.

Somewhere between “I’ll just throw this wash on quickly” and “where on earth are the keys?”, I managed to give a set of house keys the full spa treatment.

40 degrees.
Full spin cycle.
Freshly laundered.
At least they’re clean.
In my defence, as an independent agent you wear a lot of hats… negotiator, marketer, counsellor, problem-solver… and now, professional key washer.
The glamorous life of property, eh? 😂
On the bright side:

✔️ The keys still work
✔️ They smell amazing
✔️ No one can question my commitment to thoroughness.

Going above and beyond is what I do… I just didn’t realise that included deep-cleaning the access tools 🤣
If anyone needs their house keys freshened up, you know who to call.
