We have our first ever, negative 1 star Google review. Why am I posting this? I'm certainly not bragging about it. But I do like to be transparent to all our current and prospective clients.
We earned this negative review. We are a really, *reaaaaally* small business. We don't have huge pools of resources and staff available at every hour of every day. We are ran, organised, staffed, paid, rostered, marketed, advertised and advocated for by ONE person. Just me. This company is a HMRC employer, so we have taxes, NI, holidays and sickness to pay for. We have insurances, H&S compliance, COSHH compliance, RAMS, safety data sheets and many systems to use. We have multiple trips per month to stock up on products and equipment, and I personally carry out consultations all over the county during my spare time, unpaid. Everything is seen to and paid for, by me.
When staff can't make it to work, the person responsible for all of the above is on call to cover cleans. Meaning that every cog that is powering this company is temporarily stalled. We aren't a side hustle. We are a proper, registered limited company who proudly employs staff to put food on their tables.
Sometimes things go wrong, and someone may be let down. Sometimes, we cannot cover a clean. Usually, it is my children, family and friends who are let down. I work on average 70 hours a week to make this ship sail. This time, we let down a client for the first time in 4 years, when they really relied on us. And we are very, very sorry.
The point of this post is.... each review is precious. I didn't expect us to have a squeaky clean record for the rest of time. However, if you plan to use a small business, please keep in mind that things go wrong sometimes. If you're looking for a cleaning service that will never cancel, never rearrange, never send a new face, never increase prices, never make a small mistake, never miss a thing... please don't use GCP. Please use a franchise or a large corporation. We are powered by one person and a small team who work HARD. If that isn't right for you then that is okay, we understand. But we do constantly seek to improve.
Thank you for supporting our small business β€οΈ
