The Historic Ramparts in Gosport are opening their gates, a second time this year, for a free open day!

This rare opportunity to visit the Historic Ramparts, will be on the 4th December, between 10:00am and 3:00pm—and it proved to be a great hit in August! So, dust off your winter clothes, get your boots ready and come visit a rarely seen side of Gosport—for free!

There will be a self explanatory trail around the open grounds, researched by our dedicated team (at www.portsmouthgosporthistory.com) which includes WWII bunkers to explore!

The open grounds will be packed with living history groups telling the story of war including some jeeps and trucks 🛻

Wessex Archaeology will be attending with their community engagement gazebo and we will be sounding the ‘attack’, the air-raid warning 🚨demonstration—a day for all the family!

Admission is free, although a small donation to Portsmouth & Gosport History would go a long way, every penny counts!

Don’t forget! The Powder Monkey Brewing Co is also hosting their Christmas Market on the same day!
