Sometimes it is the little things that make all the difference...

We recently received a review that genuinely made our day.

Reading words like that means the world to us, because those little details are exactly what we care about.

Fresh milk waiting in the fridge

A cosy bed that you don’t want to leave -they even looked up the bedding for their own home

An ice pack already chilling in the freezer for the prosecco.

They are all small touches, but together they help create a stay that feels genuinely relaxing from the moment you arrive and exactly what we hope every guest experiences.

Summer is a wonderful time to escape to our huts - this review was for Lapwing.

Wake up to views like this, spend lazy afternoons on the decking, fire up the BBQ, soak in the hot tub under North York Moors dark skies and simply enjoy slowing down for a couple of days.

Weekends are booking very fast but if you are looking for a peaceful break away from the rush of everyday life, we would love to welcome you.

Hi everyone,

We just wanted to share a quick update as things have moved very quickly behind the scenes this week.

Mark has been taken into hospital after becoming unwell and has been diagnosed with a serious heart valve problem. He is now under specialist care and is due to undergo open heart surgery next week.

As you can imagine, this has come as a huge shock, and it does mean things are a little different behind the scenes for a while.

However we are OPEN as normal, along with our farm vending shop.

We are simply reducing some of the behind-the-scenes workload, so you may see fewer posts and less marketing for a short period, as Louise is managing a lot more than usual.

Your bookings, recommendations and shares all help keep everything steady while we navigate this.

Thank you so much for your kindness, patience and continued support, it genuinely means a lot to us

Wren has just come available for the weekend of 17-19th April.... but why only do a weekend - fancy a week from 15th?

Please note though, there may be "noise" -the birds tweeting, goat kids chatting and the lambs bleating - but if you fancy that.. then send us a message, you will not be disappointed.

PS you can just book 2/3/4 nights but once you are here you will not want to leave, and it will be a good deal!

Spring is quietly arriving in the North York Moors!

The first day of meteorological Spring is here. The grass is slowly growing, the nights are growing lighter, and the countryside is stirring. The lambs will soon be leaping, hedgerows are beginning to wake, calving is underway, and lapwings are calling overhead, who will hear the first cuckoo?

This early-spring magic is one of the best times of year. Crisp mornings, peaceful walks straight from your door, evenings soaking in your private hot tub, and cosy huts warmed by the log burner. A perfect time to reset before the busier months arrive.

Each hut comfortably sleeps two adults and includes:
• Double bed with luxury bedding
• Bathroom with shower
• Fluffy towels & robes
• Private decking with outdoor seating
• Weber gas BBQ
• Central heating
• Fully equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer & oven
• WiFi
• Log burner (excluding Wren)
• Wren hut also includes a hob, TV, and fire pit

Our on-farm vending shop is stocked with home-reared, grass-fed beef and lamb, alongside Yorkshire favourites, perfect for a spring bbq after a day exploring.

We are an adult-only retreat and cannot accommodate pets.

It almost feels like Spring today… dare we say it?

Double-figure temperatures are on the way next week, the buds are beginning to form, and the farm is quietly waking up. It’s one of the loveliest times of year to visit.

Cool enough to light the wood burner. Clear enough for incredible stargazing from the hot tubs. Peaceful, fresh, and full of promise.
