"π Should we sell the portfolio? π€
That's a question that many landlords and property investors have been asking themselves since section 24 came into effect a few years ago. Last Wednesdays government announcement about the renters reform bill will undoubtedly be causing more to ask this again and seriously consider leaving the market.
π« For us, the answer is a resounding NO. π We'll keep expanding our portfolio and acquiring more properties.
π’πΌ Renters Reform Bill: Embracing Change and Seizing Opportunities π
πͺYes, the government is making things more difficult for landlords and property investors. However, with change comes opportunity.π
π From our time running the lettings agency in London, we saw a lot regulation enter the lettings industry and we welcomed it. It had a positive impact for the best in class operators, forcing cowboys and amateurs out of the market place.π€
πWe predict a similar result with the impending introduction of this bill. Yes, it will create challenges and we are not naive to that.πΌ Itβs the landlords and investors who don't adapt to this change that will be left behind. We have no choice but to roll with the punches, besides if it was easy everybody would do it. π₯π₯
π―We are looking forward to seeing the slum landlords, amateurs and accidental landlords that this will be the final straw for and that decide to sell their properties.π€
π€That's our opinion, we'd love to hear yours, what you think about last weeks announcement and how it will affect the next five years of your growth if at all? We're really interested to everyone's thoughts on this oneπ
