Great interview with ITV this morning discuss our concerns with the potential closure of the post office in the Town Centre and talk about the impact it might have have on the local community.

As a local business and an estate agent, we always have investment in the betterment of the local area and to see an established and highly recognised national brand retreating from the high street and depriving the local public and business community of a vital array of services and resources.

Institutions like the Post Office should have a responsibility to re-engage with Town Communities or at least explain the key metrics in decisions like this. They should also realise that removing their consistent and often reassuring presence on the high street has no doubt been a key contributor to those choosing to utilise their more remote services.

We want to continue to fight to keep key businesses holding the line in Grimsby and have companies realise that this is more important that just another closure.

The battle must rage on.....

Local MP Melanie Onn is running an online petition currently to raise concern on this issue that only takes a moment or two to sign if possible.
