Keeping my fingers crossed for a re-run of these scenes this winter.

It was so magical to stand at the top of the hill looking down at the mist in the valley and up to the most incredible colours over the treehouses.

Obviously Iā€™m biased but I do think Cornwall is stunning in the autumn.

The squirrels have been particularly active the last few daysā€¦ it looks like next year my lawn will be a mini forest of trees judging by their burying shenanigans.

Photo 3 is the section of coast path between Mullion & Poldhu, itā€™s a corker and only a few minutes drive from us.

It really is the season to get a good stomp going on the coast pathā€¦ knowing youā€™ve got a fire and a wood-fired hot tub waiting for you in your very own treehouse. Bliss.

Except somehow the weekends keep disappearing. And the guests who finally make it to Kosel often say the same thingā€¦ we wish weā€™d done it soonerā€¦ along withā€¦ can I move in? šŸ˜‚

Four weeks. FOUR WEEKS TODAY.

Iā€™m officially counting down to Brave the Shave for MacMillan.

Itā€™s amazed me how kind people have been. This moment at my incredible hairdresser (shout out to Belinda BeGorgeous | Luxury Hair Helston) summed it up. I mentioned that I felt useless at looking after longer hair, I asked for advice, she knew I was donating my hair to The Little Princess Trust and she gave me conditioning products to helpā€¦ for freeā€¦ because she is LOVELY.

Itā€™s a little reminder that people are pretty amazing.

I find autumn quite calming after the chaos of summer. Obviously I love summer, being outdoors, socialising, going, seeing, doingā€¦ but thereā€™s something about autumn that gives you permission to slow down a bit.

Itā€™s time to relax, enjoy where you are, make the most of the fading sunlight. When youā€™re at Kosel you have everything you need right here. You donā€™t have to rush around to make memories, make them by the fire, listening to the record player or sitting in the wood-fired hot tub.

Embrace the change of seasons from your balcony in the trees.
