🌿At Jerusalem Farm Pods, we believe that enjoying nature also means helping to look after it.

Over the past year or so we've taken a number of small but meaningful steps to support biodiversity and reduce waste around the site. Along the riverbank, we've left the natural habitat largely untouched, creating only a few small viewing "windows" so guests can enjoy watching the river without disturbing the surrounding wildlife.

Around the pods, areas of grass are left uncut to provide food and shelter for bees, butterflies and other insects. We've created insect habitats, built planters from leftover decking materials, and installed new planters made from 100% recycled materials.

In February this year, we also planted 26 new native trees which will help enhance biodiversity, provide future wildlife habitat and contribute to carbon capture for years to come.

These may be small steps individually, but together they form part of our commitment to caring for the beautiful East Lothian countryside that our guests come here to enjoy. 🌿
