It’s been a busy month for exchanges at Sheppard & Co. 🏡

This is always a rewarding stage of the process, not just for us as a business, but for our clients and the buyers too.

The run-up to exchange can be stressful, emotions can run high and there’s often plenty happening behind the scenes. But the moment contracts are exchanged, it’s time to relax. 🥂

The completion date is set, the uncertainty disappears and plans for the new home suddenly become a reality.

I’m incredibly grateful to play a part in these journeys and to help so many people move on to their next chapter. 🙏🏻

Why are you moving??

Every move has a story and every client has their own reason, motivation and next chapter ahead. Our job is to understand that and adapt our approach to fit exactly what’s needed.

This one meant a lot. Not only were we able to help our lovely vendor move onto her next chapter, but we also helped our buyer too.

I actually sold a property to our buyer around 8–9 years ago and this time, she invited me back to sell that very same home. Back then it was just her… now she has a husband, a baby and a beautiful new family home to move into.

To be trusted with those moments and to play a small part in people’s journeys is what makes this job so special.
