First fix wiring is in on our renovation project in Meltham ⚡

By the end of this week the first fix of the house will be complete and the property will be ready to board and plaster. Which we are going to get cracked on with straight after christmas 🎄

If we can stick to current timelines we are looking at getting this one back on the market by the end of February 🚀

Prospecting... A big part of our goals for 2024 is going to be to continue to scale up the fire risk assessment business 📈

To do this we are going to have to build up our pipeline of leads to keep the work flowing in. suggested the book Fanatical Prospecting by Jeb Blount 📖

Only half way through, but have already changed some processes, especially how I am spending/blocking my time 🕜

Worth a read for anyone involved or interested in sales 🤝

Always learning... 4 day training course with Vulcan fire to acheive the fire manager qualification. Head will most likely be mashed by Friday afternoon 🤯

Just over four weeks since I went in for the surgery to repair my Hamstring. For the first six weeks I have had to stay in the leg brace with adjustments every two weeks. Today I had my final adjustment and in two weeks the brace can come off.... Thank F**K

After the brace is off I can finally get stuck into the rehab for the forseeable future.

Another busy week for the fire risk assessment team.

A mix of HMO's & serviced accomodation units on the cards.

We are starting the week dotting round a few locations in the North West, Warrington, St Helens, Leigh & Preston. Mid week we are in Grimsby and the finishing off with some serviced accomodation apartments in Birmingham.

Very grateful for our amazing clients and hopefully we can keep the workflow coming in and have a great end to 2023.

Head down and into some admin work for fire risk assessments this morning that we are due to complete next week 🔥

Next up is hunting for some properties. We are going to be doing a lot of direct to vendor marketing over the next couple of months and making the most of not being able to move much 🩼

Shiny Penny Syndrome

I have mentioned this one before but its something I definetely struggle with sometimes.

There is nothing wrong with changing ideas/moving into differnent businesses or types of investment but make sure this is an informed decision and not just looking for the next quick win.

Unfortnately in business and in property there are rarely quick wins, its all about persistance and graft and racking up the 1% improvements each day.

With 6 weeks left, the temptation to wind down is real, but try to use the upcoming break as motivation to close those outstanding tasks. 🚀💪

Not quite the start to part time self employed life I imagined.

I handed my notice in at my old employer after 10 years starting at 16 straight from college. I took a part time job to spend time growing my own businesses 📈

Unfortunately the week I left I decided to tear two tendons off the bone of my hamstring in a rugby game and went in for surgery on Friday to get them fixed 🏥

Now it's 6 weeks in a leg brace and 6-9 months of physio to get back to regular activities. 🤢

These things are sent to test us and I'm trying to use the positives by spending time systemising as much as I can, meaning the business still works even when I can't be darting round everywhere 💥
