'Niche' paint brands, a lot is said about these products being better than anything the big 3, Dulux Trade , Johnstone's Trade Paints or Crown Paints can produce. How true is this?

Then you’ve got the water-based TRIM paints!! Benjamin Moore Scuff X, WRX satinwood or Teknos Futura will always give you a better finish because the technology is more advanced. These products are high-end and designed to work as well as they possibly can do.

Matt and I are delighted to be able to announce that we have been named WINNERS of the Corporate LiveWire innovation and excellence global awards 2020 for Excellence in Property Restoration Services for the 2nd consecutive year. We would like to dedicate this award to all of our friends at this most strange time and also to everyone at PPG. From the support and friendship of the directors and managers to the branch staff but especially the Technical Dept whose knowledge and advice has been immeasurable down the years, they have become the 3rd member of the team. Last year Matt and I were honoured to have won our first global award when we were named as the Corporate LiveWire innovation and excellence Awards winners in the Excellence in Property Restoration Services category. We are delighted to be able to say that we have been shortlisted for the same category due to the success of our 2018 Victorian apartment restoration in being shortlisted for both the Johnstone's Painter of the Year and the PDA Premier Trophy Awards last year! Johnstone's Trade Paints
Did a quick test with the Perfect Matt. Sanded right back 2 small areas the day after finishing a feature wall. Touched in then rolled a strip and it has blended in beautifully, you can't see any difference at all 👌

So we have emulsioned the apartment out in the new Johnstone's Trade Perfect Matt.
How does it perform?
It applies beautifully with roller and brush. It's a thicker consistency than normal but it cuts in and rolls without a problem. We have backrolled a small section in the middle of the lounge ceiling after we finished it and there is no flashing. We rolled some sections with a long pile roller and others with a medium pile and you can't tell the difference. Whatever roller head we used it all looks like a spray finish.

We coated the dark blue walls with Swansong (an off white) and it covered brilliantly in 3 coats. The dark red was painted in Shaded Whisper and that covered brilliantly in 2 coats.
Over the last 15 years we have won plenty of awards using Cova Plus, Durable Matt and Cleanable Matt but I can honestly say that ALL those jobs would be improved using Perfect Matt. It has to be seen to be believed 👌Johnstone's Trade Paints
