Nice sized kitchen/diner extension for the lads to get their teeth into this week.

Full board and skim throughout on this one. Walls and ceilings boarded, taped and skimmed, leaving everything flat, sharp and ready for second fix. We’ve also picked up the remainder of the house to plaster once it’s ready.

Straightforward graft on a bigger scale and a solid finish all round.

Nice little job out in Killinghall ticked off yesterday.

Three of the lads cracked on with this one. Some tired old walls stripped back, a dated 1970s stone fire surround removed, fireplace opened up, new plasterboard ceiling installed, and a full skim to all walls and ceilings. Straightforward graft and a solid finish all round.

Nice little Weber mono job ticked off this morning.

Myself and one of the lads braved the weather yesterday, prepped the top half and got it laid on, then left it overnight for a good rub-up. Had to prise open his coffin lid at 7:30 this morning 😅 but we still got it finished on a Sunday.

All scratched and cleaned up by 10 o’clock, followed by a couple of well-earned pints, and now ready to crack on with a decent-sized extension tomorrow.

We are seeking a time-served plasterer / renderer who works to a high standard.

Role requirements:
• Fully time served
• High-quality workmanship essential
• Able to work as part of a team and alone when required
• Work in and around Yorkshire (with some travel when needed)
• Must own a full tool set
• Professional, motivated and reliable

Pay & hours:
• £210 per day (take home)
• Hours: 7:30am – 3:00pm
• Break: 30 minutes
• Van supplied to the right candidate
• Price work available once we’ve worked together and built trust

We are also looking for a general labourer to support plastering and rendering works.

Duties include:
• Cleaning and maintaining sites
• Mixing plaster and carrying materials
• Loading and looking after company vehicles
• Running, cleaning down and maintaining render machines
• General site support

Full training can be provided.

Requirements:

• Willing to work hard
• Good timekeeping essential
• Full UK driving licence required

Pay:
• £13.50 per hour
• Taxes & NI applicable
• Van included
