A timber cabin in the woods - the perfect place to unwind and watch deer wander past. It blends seamlessly into its surroundings and will only look better with age as the oak cladding and cedar shingles weather to a natural grey.

My customer wanted the cabin to feel as rustic as possible, so I used live edge oak cladding and have used sawn oak where possible on the exterior. The windows and door were both handmade from oak, and the flooring is reclaimed scaffolding boards inside and out.

I love the rawness of this project, I enjoyed this one a lot 🪵

It has been my customers long term dream to chill on the balcony with a coffee enjoying the morning sun. We changed the old sash window on the left into a tilt and turn opening giving access to the balcony whenever they like. The new full pane window on the right has now unlocked unlimited sea views, as well as a new found warmth in winter with the added double glazed glass. I’d like to drink my coffee here, wouldn’t you?

Forward property maintenance removed the wall and made good to exterior render 👊

Recent project finished at this beautiful property over in Northiam. I was getting real Secret garden vibes on this project 🧚

I managed to restore the existing ledge and brace door changing two boards and adding a new lead stained glass and getting rid of the dated pattern frosted glass. The old frame had seen better days so I made a new frame with the curved head to match the old frame.

Hand painted finish with Dulux weather shield on the frame and Farrow and Ball on the door. Really happy with how this turned out 👊

A bespoke oak bookcase for a stunning converted barn.

For this project, I repurposed an old English oak beam that had been removed and was no longer in use. I preserved its natural, unplaned finish to maintain a rustic and authentic feel that complements the barn’s original character and surroundings.

Stepped back in time this week creating an oak Tudor door. We added a lead frame glass to match an existing side door, all handmade by CW Carpentry.

The house is over 400 years old so as you can imagine measurements were slightly tricky on this one!
