NRS Surveying Limited NRS Surveying Ltd was founded in 2012 and has successfully been providing a range of site setting out and other construction services across South Coast.

NRS can provide Site Engineering / Setting Out services on all ranges of sites. NRS utilise the best in one man Leica Robotic EDM ensuring that the engineer has the full control over his own work leading to increased productivity. NRS Surveying Limited offer the following services:

1) Site Setting Out and Surveying.
2) Topographical Surveys & Installation of Control Networks to new sites.
3) As Built Surveys fully compliant to S104, S106, S28 & S278 standards all produced in PDF & DWG Format.
4) Quantifying stockpile materials.

Over the past couple of weeks we have been back into a site where we completed the enabling works setting out for Colten Developments.

Pilers have completed their elements of works and we were asked to go back to complete Pile As Built and produce a schedule showing difference in position to design, set out internal drainage & ducting and start setting out shutter lines.

With being away from the scheme for some time it was important to ensure we had the most updated drawings. We have then completed a comprehensive cross check between drawings flagging discrepancies found in good time before the 400mm thick RC Slab is poured and giving designers time to review and revise their drawings.

Looking forward to seeing this project progress and as always good to be working with Martin & Mitch again @ MGT Construction Southern Ltd.

Make hay while the sun shines 😎.

August seems to have flown by and we’ve certainly been busy on a variety of different projects across the business.

We’ve had setting out on existing and new projects. Snapshot for some of them: Christchurch coming along nicely with foundations and raft slavs, project in Salisbury for HH Groundworks now with all foundations in the ground and being built, road construction has begun, new project for Oakdene at Sarisbury Green.

We’ve completed some Topographical and drone surveys for a valued client locally including stockpile surveys and reports.

Three active schemes of TM on the network at the moment with more schemes booked in for the coming months. On these projects we have completed the AWS, TM Plans and provided all TM elements. On a scheme in Waterlooville this has included pedestrian crossing closure, lane closures, installation of temporary crossing and providing MOS for manual control.

Drainage cleaning and CCTV Survey with full report for a project in Petersfield for our client NBS. Also included within our scope of works was to complete some lining and point patch repairs for works completed by a previous contractor.

The Traffic Management side of the business is busier than ever. Not only are we able to assist clients with TM Plans, submissions of Licences to local authorities on their behalf releasing them time to focus on other things but also able to provide set up and adapt the TM as required.

These services range from small set ups and footpath closures to full multiway lights along with pedestrian crossings as required to full road closures and diversion routes.

We have recently just completed a scheme for valued client BCT Groundworks where we have completed multiple TM Plans, two Section 50 licence submissions, Advanced Warning Signage and all elements of Traffic Management.

With this project now complete we have another four schemes upcoming in the next month.

Varied works undertaken over the past of weeks.

- New project in Wi******er for Oakdene Construction UK Limited. New GPS Control installed, existing feature cross checks before setting out foundations and return visit for Sub Structure BWK.

- Last plot and car port set out for Capital Homes at Locks Heath.

- Traffic Management Plan, Advanced Warning Signs and 3 way Temporary Lights supplied for Hampshire Homes to enable the new site entrance to be constructed at Hythe.

- Another new project in Salisbury for new client HH Groundworks. This will see 11 new plots being constructed in a beautiful setting. So far we have attended and installed a robust control network, completed boundary and feature cross checks, set out plots for RLD before returning to set out CL on the first two.

- Works ongoing at our Steamer Point project. Slab Edges for Plots 3 & 8 now complete with all pad foundations for Plot 4 done.

- Night works this week completing a full foul network empty and clean before carrying out CCTV Survey.

- Drainage investigation works also completed within Fawley for Concept Building but no photographs for this one due to secruity.

Well it’s Full Steam ahead at our Steamer Point project for MATA Construction.

Works are really progressing well on this scheme with works to Plot 1, Plot 2, Plot 9 & 10 now all up to slab level. RC Foundations are coming along nicely for Plots 3 & 8.

All main storm and foul drainage complete within the road with road forms installed to form the temporary kerb brace and tarmac due imminently.

Great quality work being produced and really good to be working with Martin & Mitch from MGT making the RC & Shuttering elements easy.

Been a little quiet on here lately but certainly haven’t been quiet across sites and in the office!

May saw us complete multiple types of projects across the business alongside the day to day setting out. Snapshot of a few below:

- Topographical Survey for new client: Rose Architectural Studio down in Portsmouth for a car park and adjoining roads.

- Topographical Survey for another new client: AR Banks completing a survey of an existing Southern Water Pump Station ahead of future works.

- As Built Survey for section of completed development down in Salisbury for valued client Dandara.

- PAS128 & Topographical Survey for valued client Taylor Wimpey at Waterlooville to help locate the position of a pot end along with other services.

- Night Traffic Management for BCT Groundworks to complete resurfacing works. For this scheme we completed all TM Plans and supplied 2way Traffic Lights and all associated TM to enable these works to be completed safely.

- Grid Lines & CL Holding Down Bolts set out across a slab on an amazing one off bespoke mansion at West Meon for returning client Finchatton. Feedback received from the site management and steel erectors was also nice to hear.

- Enabling works continuing for Colten Developments. We have been heavily involved with setting out early stages of drainage and multiple sections of sheet piled wall due to the steep level difference across the site.

- More Traffic Management Plans completed for BCT Groundworks for an upcoming foul connection across a busy section of highway.

No stopping us on a Bank Holiday Monday, up and at em!

First stop putting some Advanced Warning Signs out ahead of some night works next week which we have completed the TM Plans for and supplying the required TM.

Second stop out to Romsey to complete another monitoring visit on a section of road. We have been monitoring this section of road for any settlement since December 2023 as per an agreed schedule with our client.

🚨NEW CLIENT & PROJECT🚨.

We have recently started a project for new client MATA Construction down in Christchurch.

Not your standard housing site, this project consists 10 bespoke concrete frame plots that are right on the beach front of Steamer Point, Christchurch.

So far over the past weeks we have located and installed a robust control network, completed drawing reviews and flagged potential issues and missing information ahead of time. Completed setting out for the first foundations, got drainage under way and profiled the first section of road.

Foundations consist of RC Bases with starter bars for columns and walls. Good to be working with Martin and Mitch @ MGT on this one, makes this element of works easy for us and you know it’s right.

Looking forward to working on this project and seeing it progress. Be even better when the summer finally arrives and the wind hopefully dies down a little down there.
