The Portfield Fair is returning to Haverfordwest this week and this year it will be at Perrots Road car park.

The fair is running 30 September to 3 October, 6pm until 9.30pm weekdays, and from 2pm on Saturday.

Pembrokeshire County Council has worked alongside Haverfordwest Town Council and the Showmen’s Guild to allow the use of this location.

During the day around 40 bays will be maintained but during fair hours the car park will be fully closed. The new Glan-Yr-Afon facility is nearby for anyone driving to the event. The first hour is free (Blue Badge holders two hours).

There is also a night market planned for the opening night on 30 September sponsored by the Town Council in association with Riverside Shopping Centre, which will be located on Riverside only. All are welcome to come along.

Arabian Nights Come to Fishguard

Great news for lovers of stories… Pembrokeshire Storytelling/Straeon Sir Benfro will be back for the autumn season, starting on Wednesday 30 September.

Peppers will be the venue for One Thousand and One Nights – Tales from Arabian Nights from storyteller Jessie Wild. Start time 7pm.

Tickets £7.50 (£6 concessions).
