Summer has been simply wonderful at Cowslip Cottage, welcoming families, friends and solo travellers to beautiful Broad Haven. ☀️

As much as I’m soaking up these sunny days, I can’t help looking forward to autumn… golden sunsets, quieter beaches, crisp coastal walks and cosy evenings by the sea. It’s my favourite time of year.

BANK HOLIDAY SKY SHOW! 🪁🌊

This weekend we’re in for a treat as WHKF (White Horse Kite Flyers) and MKF (Midland Kite Flyers) bring their kite festival to the beach right here in Broad Haven.

If the wind behaves (and let’s be honest, this is Pembrokeshire… it usually does!), you can expect colour, creativity and some seriously impressive flying.

Why not:
🧺 Pick up picnic bits from us
🥤 Grab cold drinks and ice creams
🍦 Treat the kids (or yourself!)
🪁 Head down to the beach and enjoy the show

It’s the perfect excuse to make the most of the bank holiday weekend. We’ve waited long enough for weather and weekends like this!

When I’m 80, I know I’ll close my eyes and come straight back to Broadhaven Beach 🤍

Watching the tractors head into the sea to tow the boats back in.
Running up and down the sand after my little one.
Building sandcastles that lasted all of five minutes.
And eating slightly sandy chips from Off The Hook without even caring.

Nothing fancy. Just proper, simple family days that stick with you.
