Renters Rights Act, quick update for Landlords:
For all self managed landlords, please remember to send the Government new information sheet to your tenants before the end of May 2026..
If you have 2 or more tenants on the tenancy agreement, you must send to each of them. You can post it and if you do so, I'd suggest sending recorded delivery. Or you can email it and ask for confirmation of recepit.
Keep the proof of sending and preferably proof of receipt. This latter bit isn't a legal requirement but it might save you having to try to prove you sent it down the line.
If you are one of our landlords, rest assured, we are sending this out to your tenants. I've already started and am hoping to have the document out to all our residential tenants by the end of April. The deadline for issuing is the End of May.
I've attached the link to it here. You can download it and then send the document, not the link to your tenants.

Over the next few weeks I'll be issuing more updates relating to to the RRA. I'm trying to break it down into bite size pieces, as I'm mindful there's a lot of 'words' out there and it can be a little bit overwhelming.
