Lovely morning on a fantastic demolished, remediated and levelled Kelly’s Wharf. Excited to bring forward a fabulous new residential and commercial community at this amazing and historic riverside regeneration. Public realm and landscaping will be a priority, creating a beautiful place to live and work.

All asbestos removed, contaminants removed, buildings demolished, all underground structures broken out and removed, now importing validated clean clay from green fields to raise the site substantially to finished floor levels ready for Phase 1 main contractors. Roll on fantastic new landscaped riverside community with first homes available late 2025.

We are 2 weeks ahead of schedule. We have enjoyed some good weather and made good progress and are on schedule to finish site wide demolition and remediation to compacted build levels in late October. Works complete:

R&D asbestos survey.
Site clearance and topsoil strip.
Enabling demolition works to areas not affected by notifiable asbestos removal.
80% notifiable asbestos removal complete – 2 weeks remaining.
Turnover and grub out relict structures east of the main pier including removal of all station bases and re-compaction ready for import to make up levels.
Ongoing removal of oversize timbers on tidal boundary.
Heras fencing to road line.
Building a ramp with oversize material ready for demolition to commence at the end of July.
Sourced material for import and testing and MMP being prepared.

Following site prep end of May, initial works will comprise asbestos removal (7 weeks) by a small number of workers in protective clothing who will remove asbestos by hand, store appropriately in skips on site, then safely remove from site. Limited vehicle movements and noise for this stage.
