At Surelock Homes, we believe that improving your home’s security and energy efficiency shouldn’t mean compromising on its architectural character. ​The homeowner approached us with dated, inefficient aluminum windows on the front brick facade and an aging, high-maintenance multi-paned window on the rear extension. The goal was simple: eradicate drafts, eliminate condensation, boost home security, lower energy bills, and give the property a crisp, modern facelift.

The primary driver for this change was performance. The old white uPVC door had reached the end of its functional life, manifesting in two of the most frustrating issues a homeowner can face: water ingress and drafts.

​Weatherproofing: When a door begins letting in water during heavy rain, it’s a sign that the gaskets have perished or the frame has warped. By installing this new high-specification unit, we’ve ensured a watertight seal that protects the internal flooring and prevents dampness in the hallway.

​Thermal Comfort: That old "drafty" feeling was essentially money escaping the house. The new door features modern multi-chambered profiles and high-performance weather seals, meaning the hallway will stay significantly warmer and the energy bills will stay lower.

Quick morning transformation! 🛠️

​We swapped out two dated doors that were showing their age and requiring constant maintenance.

We replaced them with two brand-new uPVC front doors featuring stylish satin glass.

This property finally got the TLC it deserved—no more repairs, just curb appeal!

The damage here was straightforward: the wind blew the door back until it became hinge-bound, snapping the hinges right off the leaf.

​We’ve replaced the French doors and added opening restrictors. By limiting how far the doors can swing, we’ve ensured the hinges are protected even if the wind catches them again.

Our client’s ensuite was previously dark and lacked sufficient airflow. To bring in natural light and essential ventilation, we carefully cut into the brickwork and installed a new structural lintel. The final result is seamlessly patched, plastered, and painted—looking exactly as if it were part of the original build.
